  • How much time for exercise.

Hey everyone. I just want to know your workout timings. Tell me that how much exercise you people do in a day. I do 30 minutes exercise. Is it enough?
    Reply must. Thanks in advance.

I run or swim for about an hour a day 4 days a week, then usually do some stretching / pushups and such one other day a week.

I enjoy running and swimming so it's not a chore for me, but it did take some time to get used to setting aside that much time a week.

I think the 30 minutes depends on what your goals are. -- weight loss vs cardiovascular health.

      I exercise 5 days a week:

      Year 'round:
      • run 4-7 miles
      • lift weights (45 minutes)

      Winter:
      • swim 3 days a week (1500 meters)

      Summer:
      • bike to work 3-4 days per week (19 miles/1 hour)

Probably averages out to about 4 hours a week. Keeps me healthy and allows me to eat pretty much whatever I want.

Enough for what? It's enough to keep your heart aerobically healthy. However, if you're training for a specific sports event, it probably isn't enough. It all depends upon your goals.

I hit the gym 4 days a week. I'm usually there an hour to an hour and a half each time.

5 days a week for 1 hour sometimes on the weekends for 1 hour. Cardio 2x week and weights 3x. I take a class and have noticed a huge difference in my muscle tone and shape instead of just running or doing cardio.

I benched press 345lbs. the other day for one rep on flat bench. Not my best ever, but my best in quite a while. I'm pretty happy about that.

I used to work out 3-4 days in a week for one hour. Twenty minute for work out and rest of the time I use to running. After running 20 min is enough for workout for me.

Like others have noted, depends on your goals. 30 minutes is good for your heart. But if you're trying to run a marathon, that's not going to cut it.

In my opinion, 30 minutes is not enough. Especially as you get older. I'm 46 and have found that it is harder and harder to stay fit! 15 years ago, I bet 30 minutes a day would have been enough.
