More ways to make extra money

Saw these in the Parade flyer with my Sunday newspaper today...apologies if in another thread. I haven't visited any of these myself, but added some of my own thoughts, and I am really considering the guided tours idea...we have quite a few local breweries and "touristy" destinations in my town:

1. Pet/House sitting - dogvacay.com - advertise your availability and daily rate ($15 per night and up).
---this might be good for a student or single person, and really if you're good at it, I think you might get away with not living anywhere! As in, not paying rent on a place, if you're pet/house sitting every night...you always have somewhere to sleep.

2. Guided tours of your hometown - vayable.com - I haven't looked at this myself, but the article said "site connects tourists with locals who can offer a specialized experience of their city". So I'm thinking maybe if you know all the awesome craft shops in your town, or all the craft breweries in your city, you could do a guided tour for money...

3. rent out your car - relayrides.com - just what I said, rent out your car...to pre-screened drivers apparently, "insured for up to $1 million"

4. babysitting - urbansitter.com - babysitting isn't new, but sounds like this site is where parents can go for last-minute bookings, etc. Obviously you would want referrals, but I imagine you could charge a bit above market rate for last minute bookings...

In my opinion, Guided tours of your hometown is the easiest one as you yourself knows where you will your guest.

Your ideas were nice and very convenient. This works are very nice and easy to do and money making.

Tutoring the kids and if possible to college students - This is yet another good source of income for the students even housewives, or working persons if they can find some schedule from their work, I do it daily after my office hours, I am having it as a side earning business for me also it is my hobby so definitely I am feeling relaxed after giving tutions to the students I get.

@reedda… Great post!! The options that you have given are all very helpful to earn some extra bucks. One of my cousins was looking out for ways to earn extra money… I suggested her some ways… I’m surely going to ask her to visit this page!!

I feel apart from what you have mentioned, there are some other ways which will help one to earn extra money – selling pics online (if you’re a photographer), writing content for websites, designing websites (if you have an idea about web designing), designing and selling cards online, etc.

Making extra income can generate lots of savings. The coolest ways to make money out of the four posted jobs is the "Guided tours of your hometown".

Pick up free furniture on Craig slits, clean them up, slap a coat of paint on them and sell them back on CL for a profit.
