I have been working part time with this company since 2006. Pay is every week with a 2 week hold back. You make 30 cents a minute. While you wait for customers you can list stuff on ebay or craigslist ro whatever. I made a coloring book. While on the phone your customers should be the number 1 thing you think of. Not a scam, but you won't get rich. I do this, Mechanical Terk, and sell books on ebay. This has been the primary income for my family for 2 years now. If I can eek out a tiny living, you can probably too.

This must be a joke, right? "Here, random Joe off the internet--Let me hire you as a telephone psychic!" Sort of tells you something about how reliable "psychic" services will be for you.

Not a joke. I am sorry you feel that way. I offered a link to a job center I work through. They interview etc... May be you don't approve of what I do for a living, but at least I am still employed.

I am willing to bet one needn't actually be psychic, correct?

So, how do they know if you are psychic or not? Um, that would be an interesting interview.

30 cents a minute while you wait for calls? That's $18/hour or $2880 a month (based on 8 hours a day, 5 days a week) What are the required qualifications do to this?

edit: The link in the first post says .30 per TALK minute so you only are getting paid for your time when you are on a call. Makes more sense, but much different from what is implied in the first post

Why don't they just call the people they know are going to apply??

If I was psychic I wouldn't sit and talk to people for 30cents a minute. I would play the lottery and retire.

Obviously, this is an entertainment service. People call for the fun of it. I know a few people who have gone to see "psychics" in person. They readily admitted that they didn't believe in the stuff. They just thought it was fun. And a really good performer can make their presentation seem remarkably accurate by focusing on little details they pick up about the person or things the person doesn't even realize they said. Remember the psychic scene in The Wizard of Oz? Personally, I wouldn't spend my money in that way, but to each his own.
