There have been 5 such spikes in the past six months. And still, it's 27% below it's 5 year high, and is the same price that it was 5.5 years ago.

Up $77 the last time I googled. Jammit. I really thought they would stay. I heard the rain was going to make the vote interesting.

While it's a bold and relatively shocking decision by the Britons, it's not entirely unexpected. The UK was extremely reluctant to join the EU in the first place, and never accepted the change to one of its hallmark policy provisions (the Euro). It'll throw the financial markets into a bit of a tizzy for a few weeks, but it'll even out.

EU membership gone, the Union fatally damaged & the Special Relationship no longer special. What a legacy for a Tory leader. Devastating.

Things will be shaky for a bit but should settle down as it always does.

A few years from now, no one will remember today.

                          YUSSSS!!!!

I have been waiting for this crash for MONTHS! Allocated my 10% bond 90% stock to 60% bond and 40% stocks when dow was at 18200 a few months back. FINALLY the stock market is crashing. Time to rebalance and do some investing! Was really running out of ideas to make a return from the total stock market...hence all the misc crap I have been investing in such as lending club/peer street/preferred stocks.

My money automatically transfers to my brokerage account on the 1st of every month. Pretty good timing.

Be quick. I would suspect that the fear and panic that this Brexit vote is causing will fade rather quickly.
