  • Should I invest in this?

Hi, I'm new to this forums and made an account just for advice on this.
I have a friend who helped me out in the past in recommending stocks which rose anywhere from 5-40 percent within just a few months. I made tons of profit from his help, and supposedly he made even more. (He doesn't tell me how much money he has made, but he tells me the percentages which are really good)

Anyways, he recently got tired of stocks and said he found something to do over the summer which appeals to him and makes him a lot of money too. He has a business on You tube, where he has this one large channel getting a quarter of a million views every day and he promotes his smaller channels, and within a period of time he finds customers for these channels and people buy them for large amounts of money. He says he can make more if he would save time on working on the channels, and buy channels already made within the same niche as his main one.

I asked him for more info on this, and he didn't seem to be hiding anything. He said if he buys an already made channel, it takes less work to make it grow larger, and the larger it gets the more money it's worth, eventually he sells it for hundreds more than he bought it for. He says he can do a few of these each month, earning him thousands every 30 days.

He asked me for my help, and told me that if I do, he'll make more money and I'll supposedly make a lot too. He will pay me back with interest if I help him with starter funds. He says he already invested a lot of his personal money and he wants to do more.

He guaranteed me if I invest 1,000 dollars, I'll get it back with 10 percent interest within around a month's time. Another friend of mine said she tried it with 200 dollars and he did give her $220 back within 30 days. He says the maximum money he will accept is 1,000 because that's what he can guarantee. He won't try to lure me into something that he cannot guarantee money back or something like that.

What do the professionals here think? I don't know much about outside of official stock tradings and all that, but it seems like my friend is making a lot of money and certainly showing that.

P.S. Just as a note, I researched a little about this and I found out it's not allowed to sell channels, but people still do it every day and there's little risk of "deletion" of these channels. All these "deals" are done either in person or over online chats. I asked my friend about this and he says it doesn't really affect him, and he also says he makes money from his main channel from placing ads on it. Kind of like a normal website would.

It seems all legitimate, and I trust him. Any thoughts?

P.S.S. If I do decide to this, I might report back if it does actually work.

Rather than deleting this as spam, I'll leave it up as a warning to others.

IF IT SOUNDS TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE, IT IS!

Nobody in any business can GUARANTEE you a 10% monthly return.

Your own research showed that what he is doing isn't permitted and yet you still say "It seems all legitimate." What part of doing something illegal are you considering legitimate.

Stay away from this "friend" of yours.

Well, legitimate to me means if I'm making money or not. If I'm getting scammed out of my own money, that's.. well.. an illegitimate operation to me.

That is exactly what will happen -- you will lose your money. If his process was as good as he says, he would not need others to invest.

Take the $1000 that you were going to give your friend and give it to a charity of your choice instead. Either way, you will never see the money again. But at least with the latter option you will feel good about yourself.

So you consider it legitimate even if what he is doing is illegal? What if he told you he could guarantee you a 10% monthly return by investing in his cocaine business? Would you consider that legitimate as long as you got your promised return?

Odds are he is running some type of Ponzi scheme, paying early "investors" with money taken in from later "investors". That can only go on for so long and then it collapses once the supply of money dries up.
