  • Building Wealth from $2.21

I have $2.21 in my paypal account. Just for fun, do you have any suggestions on how I can increase it? I am not planning of depositing more money into that account. It was just sent to me "just for fun" too. So it doesn't matter to me if I lose it. I just want to experiment on things on how a measly $2.21 could increase. Any thoughts? Even out of this world suggestions are welcome.

    Enjoy!

You could open a brokerage account with a company that gives you a certain number of free trades and buy some penny stock with the money.

You can use it to buy something at a garage sale that you think you could resell for more on an auction site or at a flea market. wash, rinse, repeat.

Hmmm. Good suggestions. But what I'm looking for are ways to invest it using paypal. That is, I don't have to cash out the money from my paypal account. I've searched for brokers but most of them require money transfers or bank deposits to fund your account. It would be nice if there are brokers that accept paypal as payments.

I think you should not be investing such a large sum of money and should hire an attorney to give the best possible suggestion and make some arrangement to manage such a large amount.

Hmmm. I'm sorry but is the amount I've posted in the wrong format? $2.21 - that's two dollars and 21 cents.

If you want to make money, then I agree with DS. Take a gamble on a penny stock. If you can manage a return of several 1000%, then you might have something worth something in your account.

go to the dollar store and find something to sell on ebay then list it there for .99(free) with around $4 to ship. you will make at least $2 on each transaction.

ive done this with furniture coasters and must have sold several dozen of them, its free money. i dont do it anumore because i have something better to sell thats even better.

                  I think it was scarcasm.

You can use paypal to pay the fees to post things on eBay. Like 10 cents an item maybe. Sooo sell some stuff on eBay, using Paypal only as a method of payment.

That's a way to build up the account too.

go on ebay and sell a "mystery box" item. I looked at them for fun and I wonder if anybody ever gets the final bid price for an "empty box" lol

I've tried searching for penny stocks. So far, Zecco offers the lowest charge at $4+. I'm really not planning on investing on penny stocks so I won't be adding funds in order to be able to trade with Zecco - for now.

What I'm planning to do now is to use it on ebay. I've started cleaning out my closets and I've found old Magic: The Gathering cards. I'm really not sure though if these are fakes or not. I think I'll just take a high-res photo of them and post them for auction. Once my paypal funds are sufficient for me to trade with Zecco, I might give it a try.

I'm a little excited right now.
