550 points is the max for a Dow future trading drop

I may just not turn on the TV today so I don't have to watch the mad swings..... Too much gloom and doom on TV news anyway. I'll just check out the damage this afternoon. lol

I would be buys puts and ultrashorts....I got plenty of dry powder.

            But, I expect whipsaws galore.

The monies I control are 100% cash. My broker account makes me want to cry. He is long the market and I have been a bear for the last year. I was right and he was wrong.

The global financial world is on the verge of collapse.

Hmm. According to Bloomberg, they are suggesting that "U.S. futures fell on concern the global economic slump will crimp earnings."

Is it really that simple? That earnings have gone down? I think recessionary signs have been around for a little while now and is to be fully expected. So, I don't know if I can just fully accept that a couple of bad earnings, especially by American automakers, have driven the GLOBAL markets this far down....

Well, regardless of the reasons, it looks like another day of panic selling. I'm always long, and depending on how the day goes, I'll either stay put where I am (in a defensive position), or find another entry point to go back on the offensive.

We'll see. Looks like it's going to be another interesting day.

How do you react when your stocks go down?

oops, thought I was making a new post and accidentally posted here. Will edit and throw in my 2 cents...

I just created an account with Zecco, I will be buying some on Monday hopefully. If the market does collapse, what would that mean? is that even possible? It has been worst than this and it always bounces back.
