When will the IRS release IRA contribution limits for 2009?

Since the current IRS schedule for the maximum contribution limits to a SIMPLE IRA in 2009 shows "Indexed To Inflation", when could one expect the IRS to announce what the new maximum, if it changes at all, will be?

January 16 or earlier. January 16 is when the December cpi data is release. since inflation is cpi to the government, the irs will have all the information then.

jim, I doubt the IRS would release anything on a federal holiday(jan 1).
