My first two suggestions after finding these posts:
1. This post should be a 'sticky' so that members can find it.
2. There should be better deleting of spam. It's horrendous here in the forums.

I came here to mention that we cannot post pictures in the blogs. What is the status of that issue?

And while I'm getting my email flooded with old blog subscription now, I really only want these going forward. It's too late to send them all now! And this has been done in the past to 'fix it' and it didn't work.

Yes, this is an issue that we are well aware of. Much too much spam in forums as of late. While we can't stop it completely from coming into the forums, it should be removed at a much quicker rate than it has been.

We are working on getting as much spam out of the forums as possible. If you see a spammy post, feel free to report it so that our attention is drawn to it. This is a top priority problem for the SavingAdvice team. We have noticed the increased spam in the forums as well, and it is bothersome.

It seems to have started right around Thanksgiving. As a Moderator, I can tell you all that I've deleted more spam in the past 2 weeks than I probably have in the past year. I was wondering if something happened to the site structure/filters to suddenly result in this deluge of spam. I honestly haven't been able to keep up with it all as I've been busy with my real job but I'm doing it as best I can.

There is still a problem that when you post a new comment, it takes you to a blank screen. It just happened to me when I made the previous post. Can you please fix this?

Also, can we please go back to being able to jump between forums without having to go back to the menu?

I honestly haven't been able to keep up with it all as I've been busy with my real job but I'm doing it as best I can.

I have met this problem as well. It seems I spend a lot of time deleting new spam postings. This is something we are working to fix. I'm trying to see if we can use a better filter. I have also run into the problem where a "blank page" comes up when posting to the forum. I'll see if there is something we can do to fix this as well as the menu request.

when I get the blank screen I press F5 to refresh and it posts. extra step but might help others until it is fixed.

No, nothing changed structurally, but they do figure out new ways to get around the walls we have already set up -- it's a constant game. We're looking to put in a filter of some type to address the French and Korean spam that's been getting through.

Since you've went to the new boards I never get email notifications to any threads I'm subscribed to even though I have the default checked to send them instantly. Can you help me with that?

edit: Weird I just got that blank screen. I have never gotten that before although I've seen where others had complained about it.

Do other people, especially those on the blogs, have issues with staying logged into their account even though we have requested when logging in to stay logged in? This has been an issue for a very long time, too.

CCF--I do have difficulty staying logged on if I use any tab on my browser except the first one. Any other tab and it logs off sometimes even in the middle of the session. I can be logged in and then go to make a comment on something I've just read and I've been logged out. But that's been going on for years.

The spam has really ramped up as of late.

I spend more time deleting spam than I do replying to threads.
