    I'm curious how you are "100% positive" of that. Did you ask him? If not, how could you possibly know just by looking at him?

      no i didnt ask him, he was not the talkative type and he sure looked like he didnt want to be there, i could be totally wrong and off base and only 80% positive but it didnt appear so.

      sorry, i just can not fathom working for the fun of it or just to get out of the house

        I can add that my mother who is 70 still works and I don't think she needs the money. Of course she is self employed (beautician) and her "office" is attached to the house and her commute is maybe 10 seconds. I think its just because its all she's done for 40+ years, and her husband died, so it keeps her engaged with the world. She works maybe 50% of the time she did many years ago, but certainly has the strength for it. Last summer I replaced her roof, and she was often up there helping me, though usually for a hour at most, often less than that. Crazy as that was probably the first thing we did together in decades.
        Don't torture yourself, thats what I'm here for.
