Man letting people staple money to him

A long time lurker, but I created an account to post this because it disturbed me so much. There was a man on the street who was letting people staple money to his chest and other parts. He had a sign that said, "Staple your money to me!" What disturbed me is that people seemed to enjoy putting this person in pain. They were taking out dollar bills and stapling them as hard as they could to him, then laughing about it. I guess this is one way to earn money if you don;t have any, but it was disturbing. Thoughts?

I think it is awful. I would be very upset to witness something like that.

I saw this at a horror film festival earlier this year actually. These two guys were raising money for something, I don't recall what, but people did get a kick out of stapling money to them. They didn't just stop at the chest, arms, and legs either. The bigger the bill the more delicate the body part you got to choose. It wasn't my thing, but everyone was consenting so I brushed it off.

This is disturbing, but maybe the guy enjoyed it? People become addicted to all kinds of things. If he did enjoy it, then he is getting paid for something he likes. Nothing wrong with that.

There seems there are a lot better ways to make money. I, too, find it disturbing that people would find pleasure putting someone else in pain.

I agree but just look at reality shows. They are mostly about people laughing at others misfortunes.
