plasma "burns" after years of use. the colors go to ****.

led takes very little electricity, will save you money on a long run, aslo colors are much more sharp

I've always preferred plasma. It has a little better picture for the same money which is what matters to me. LED/LCD runs cooler and costs a little less energywise though, they are also brighter if the tv is in a room where you can't control the lighting. Panasonic is ending their plasma line after this year, kind of a shame since most of them were deemed the best in their price range but they don't have the consumer demand. I've tried watching action and sports on a led and really refer the plasmas.

Plasma have brighter blues and blacks making them better in a dark room. But, their lifespan is shorter.

LED is nice bright color. Very thin screen and uses less energy. But, they are the most expensive option.

LCD is a good all around option and middle of the road priced.

Plasma TVs are much better these days - they do not have the burn in issues that plasma had when it first came out.

Plasma looks better in normally lit rooms. Better off angle viewing as well. Heavier and power hogs.

LED/LCD are much lighter and use much less power.

I have both and at this point in my life I don't have a preference.

In 10-15 years, it will all be replaced by OLED. If you haven't seen one, it is the same wow factor as SD on a tube TV vs. HD on a plasma. Amazing. OLED 4k will be what we are watching in 2030.
