    Don't be shy about stating you are making 30k at your second job. He approached you; you must be a very valuable employee.

    Let your boss decide if it is worth 30k to him or not. If it isn't, he may offer less. Then you decide if it is worth it to you to give up some money but gain some free time.

      I'd second this.

      I'd also ask the boss if there's a specific reason for his request. He may simply be concerned for your wellbeing, as working that many hours isn't good for your health. Or he may be worried about your performance or is expecting a higher level of performance and hours worked (management potential) because of the raise he just gave you.

      If the second is the reason why, I'd rethink asking for more money because he may find it as an insult that you're asking for more money after a substantial raise. He brought you from 46k to 55k a month ago, and now you're asking to go to $70k? After a 20% raise, that may seem insulting to him. Just my .02.

        If i were you, ill tell my boss of how much i would be losing if ill give up my other job, in that way, he might think of covering or he can offer you something else.
