Hi! I'm new to the forum and wanted to introduce myself...
I'm heading toward mid-life (yipee ) and while I'm good at saving and living cheap, I'm not so great at generating money. I have an anxiety disorder that keeps me working part-time these days. I've learned to live cheap and "poor" and the benefits that come with it. I'm here at a time I'm interested in learning how to earn a more substantial income, while continuing to be sensitive to my particular needs and handicaps. I need to learn how to make money (preferably a business from home), "grow" money via investing my savings, and since I'm not as young anymore, I'm realizing my cheap lifestyle may not be feasible in the latter years when limitations and health concerns increase, so I need to learn about retirement and the needs particular to that time of life.
If anyone has questions about saving and budgeting, I'm a pro! Put myself through college (later than the norm) debt-free without family support, can live on $15-20K and still save $$, and traveled Europe in my 20s, to give an idea.
Thanks for reading. Best wishes to for your financial success!
