Ditto(-ish). Not credentialed yet, but I call myself an actuary instead of explaining the exam process to those unfamiliar with the profession. Maybe someday I'll be an FSA and it won't matter (in a land far, far away).

Didn't realize there were any other dual members of AO and SA, pretty cool!

My guess is if you didn't see mine you would say actuary - but then you had to explain with a ditto-ish - we are funny creatures that way.

Good luck with the exams - you'll be an FSA (or at least an ASA) before you know it.

I am in the health care field - you? Glad to find others out here - it's a great site!

I've got one prelim left, and I'll start the FAP modules this winter regardless of pass/fail, so hopefully Associateship is within 12 months.

I'm in Retirement/Pension consulting now, but considering a move to Life b/c the work schedule has become overwhelming.

Thanks! I'm surprised anyone knew what I was talking about. Most people see the word "soil" and automatically think "dirt" which = BORING!

I am a husband, a father, and a provider. An accountant, a repair man, a bank and a carpenter. I am a shoulder to cry on an ear to listen. I am a planner, a chief, a driver and a teacher. I am a leader, a follower, a standard and a backbone.

I am a Soldier and have been such for the past 18+ years. These days they call me First Sergeant, soon they will call me retired

I guess it's mostly the crankiness of most of the customers. Also at our store we have a lot of people that are addicts. Then there are the "Sudafeders" who are all cracked out trying to get sudafed for their next meth fix. Basically I have to put up with a lot from people, and the pay isn't all that great.
