We have 3 prepaid cellphones (2 from T-Mobile and 1 from Net10) and no home line. We pay when we need, and I'm still working out what the average is, but I think it's $70 or less per month. We also use Skype for international calling, probably about $3 per month. If we remembered to use it for more outgoing calls, we wouldn't have to refill our prepaid cells as often and that would save us money.

Me, 0 per month. I hate talking on the phone. I do have a free phone service thru on star for the first year I own my corvette. I just got my first call today. It was a wrong number. ( I didn't give my number to anyone but dh)

I typically use about 30 minutes/month of the 850 minutes we have on our plan. I also don't care for talking on the phone all that much. I'm always baffled by the people who talk on their cell phones non-stop at the mall, restaurants, in the waiting room of my office, at theaters and amusement parks and everywhere else. I have no idea who they are talking to or what they are talking about. I just don't have that much to say to anyone.

I use a phone to make appointments, etc. I really don't have that much to say either, except to my husband. We talk all the time. (of course, I don't have any family to check on and that makes a difference.)

Phoneless (although that may no be a possibility in the near future) - I spend far too much time on the computer -- last thing I need is to spend any time I am off of it on another gadget

Right around $83 per month these days for two phones. No data plan; no text; just voice.

This is through T-Mobile with the Friends and Family Plan and there's something like 700 shared minutes to phone numbers outside the F&F portion. Essentially the F&F plan means you have 5 listed phone numbers (with each phone -- so 10 total) in the system - people you choose to regularly call - that are unlimited. You can call them anytime, no charges, no minutes, and no restrictions that they be within the T-Mobile network.

The costs keep going up. We do have G3 phones. I rarely use mine; but DH uses his almost daily. If we cancel this plan, I suspect that we'll be paying more for him alone.
