  • Online surveys, read here.

I just wanted everyone to know that if you are looking at doing online 'surveys' for extra income, talk to me first. I've done a lot of research on these sites that offer these surveys, I can tell you all about them, what not to do and what to do.

I don't want to advertise, I'm just trying to help people that are interested. You can either send me a private message or check out my website.

Hi Jason, I'm interested in leaning more about the surveys, but I'm not sure that site works. It takes me to a search engine. Thanks Jason.

I do surveys for nfomysurvey and I have no problem getting paid. I think I have earned about $90 so far. If anyone wants to join them, send me your first name and your e mail address and I can get you an invitation to join.

I do surveys about once a month for Pinecone. They usually pay within one day. No complaints.

I have been making around $300-400 per month with surveys. Several sites have a daily survey. Adds up pretty quick.

Hi Herm, how are you making so much? I joined 4 survey sites a few months ago, and have done a total of about 5 or 6 surveys, and only made a few cents so far. What sites do you belong to, what is your trick? Any advice would be great.
            Thanks Herm.

Ima - Thanks to you, my wife and I both signed up and have been doing those surveys, but we're far from earning our first $10. I've got about 300 points (need 1000 for $10 I believe). I've done every survey I've been invited to. I'm curious how long it has taken you to earn $90. At the rate I'm going, that would probably take me several years. Is there some secret I don't know about?

                We're probably skewing the surveys!

Us frugalites are probably skewing all the survey answers!

As for Disney Steve's questions, I think it takes a while to get into the groove with the surveys. My husband has been tracking his gas consumption for NFO for several months and they credit him a fair amount for that.

Some of the amounts credited seem to make little sense to me. Sometimes long complicated surveys with all those annoying forms to fill in pay very little, while simpler ones, if you're in the right demographic, pay pretty well.

I did win $100 at NFO in their daily drawing a few years ago, and that's kept me pretty loyal to them.

I started a month ago and signed up for over 30 (so called) survey sights. That took a good three days just registering. Don't make that mistake.
At this time I feel I have 9 or 10 that may be worth my time. 2 of those aren't real survey sites but do pay for doing offers and reading Emails etc.
If I would have researched more before jumping right in, I could have been paid by those 2 just to sign up for the paid survey sites.
Inbox dollars is one. If I'd have registered there first, I probably would already have $30 to cash out. As it is, I only have about $14 there.
The one's I think will pay (from research on other forums are), Synovate- you need 5,000 points for $5. I have 8,205 and that was mostly from the first real survey.
Pinecone-think I'm registered, but yet to hear from them.
My Survey- half way to getting $10
                  Opinion Outpost-10 pts= $1 need 50 pts to cash out. I have 30
My points- I'm only about a fourth of the way to a $10 gift card
Harris Poll- about an eighth of the way to a $5 gift card
                  Polling points-100,000= $100.00 I have 2,500
                  E-poll- need 3500 for $5 gift card- I have 600
Lightspeed- patiently waiting for a survey

The advice I mostly see from those who do make a bit of money is, be patient, take all the surveys offered from the ones that actually pay, don't get frustrated when you don't qualify, and don't quit your day job.
Also, you really never will make any money if you only register with one or two sites. I'm going to unsubscribe to my scam ones and look for more ligitimate ones. Hopefully I'll end up with 25 or 30 eventually. It's my understanding, that some of the better ones only send you one survey every few months.

You're quite welcome Pennrj. Though I feel silly giving advice. I've yet to receive my first check. :-) Oh well, I have faith. :-)

I'm going to sign up for some more of these then too. Let us know which ones hold true when you get paid.

All the ones I listed are ones I found on another forum, from a list where people said they had been paid from them. Since they had nothing to gain by lying, I have faith. I do belong to others I think are legit but didn't list yet, just in case they are rip-offs. Maybe a thread should be started here just to post sites that people have actually received money from? That might save people a few headaches wasting time on the scams.
