I believe that standard health care is a right for every American citizen, not just the rich (my opinion) and we should be ashamed that we take such poor care of all our citizens.

This I cannot agree on. Health care is not a God or Gov. given right. This would work about as well as SS works.

I believe they call it Adoption.

HA! I really can't see how anyone who cares about their money can vote for Obama. More of your money will go to the government. More of your employer's money will go to the government. More of the money of the companies you are invested in will go to the government, reducing your returns. We will be paying "carbon taxes". We will be paying for reparations. We will be paying more for gasoline. We will be paying more for health care. We will be paying more for free health care for illegal aliens.

As for "let's get out of Iraq NOW" do you want to leave immediately and let that country desolve into chaos? What about our moral obligation to help those poor people out? They are starting to get it right. We can't just pull out and leave them to the wolves. Regardless of if you think going in was right or wrong, we have an obligation now that we cannot shirk.

Agreed. This is a definite difference between the two. With two supreme court justices likely to be replaced during the next 4 years, whoever is president will decide women's reproductive rights. If McCain becomes president, Roe vs Wade will likely be overturned. If Obama is elected, the right for a women to choose will stay intact. Since I'm pro choice, I strongly support Obama on this issue and anyone that is should seriously consider this point.
And this is why I do NOT want Obama to be president. The makeup of the Supreme Court lasts many many many years beyond the president's term and I am scared to think of what kind of judges a Democrat congress and Democrat/Marxist president would put there.

So, when did you call out the person who said they didn't want a third term of Bush?

McCain gets my vote. I think Obama would be a disaster for the economy.

this is my biggest worry about Obama...once you open the door for the federal govt. to control and finance something so HUGE...

My guess is no one has any idea how much this will cost the taxpayer over the next 10 or 20 years....
                    Trillions?

No way to tell...and this is what scares the hell out of me.

How are we going to pay for it?

You know, many countries with this type of govt. healthcare use gas taxes.

Germany has something like 9 or 10 dollar gas...but like 80% of this is taxes

I guess I shouldnt worry, as the federal govt. has such a great track record in this area. So efficient in their ways....

yep, obamamaniac's think we can tax the crap out of the rich and the middle class will have it made....

                      LMAO

It will all trickle down to the middle class, and THEY will end up suffering more than ANYONE. They will just pass the cost's on down to us.

That or move operations to another country with more favorable corporate taxes.

Just like the high cost of oil has trickled down to higher grocery bills, among other things...

The middle class family struggling to make it are the ones who will truly suffer when spending 100 or 200 more a month on groceries. Not the rich, who can absorb this cost.

                      Trickledown economics anyone?

Ill take a stab at it..But first tell me what his pastor said that was RACIST...He spoke the truth, BUT STILL what does that have to do with Senator Obama?? I am sure you have some questionable characters in your FAMILY but I wouldnt judge you by them....His wife said this is the first time that I am REALLY proud of my country....As a black person I understand (since you all try to bring race into everything)

WOW...You sound ELITIST!! You are basing the fact that those 'poor people' need 'OUR' help on what? YOUR STANDARDS!! I hate people that invade other people homeland with a passion....But that is the history of your beloved America. Oh, and before someone makes the 'You might as well leave' comment. No, not when my ancestors built this place!

About the energy policies, McCain is for starting up new nuclear power plants, and I don't think Obama is. I would think using more nuclear energy could relieve some of the energy problems we are having.

I can't remember ever being in favor of a tax increase in any form. However, I do agree with ONE of Obama's proposals. Eliminating the cap on payroll taxes at $250,000. I've never understood why those most able to pay get a break on their fica taxes when the vast, vast majority of Americans have to pay it on every dime they make. I wholeheartedly support lifting that exemption and plowing whatever it brings in into the social security system.

That's just a basic fairness issue to me. This is one of the most regressive taxes in America. That exemption's existence is one of the finest examples of good ole boy politics, protecting their own cans, I can think of.
