  • I need Food Processor Recommendations

I need to replace my old (20+ yrs) Black & Decker food processor which bit the dust.

I loved to use it, but HATED to clean it, so I'm seeking one with ease of cleaning, if such a thing exists.

    Any ideas?

    Thank you in advance !!

I have had a Cuisinart for 10 years and I just put the parts in the dishwasher and have never had a problem.

Me too. I think the one my mom has is older than I am (and I'm 27!). She's always just put hers in teh dish washer. I have the smaller-sized one and I think it was only $20 at Target.

Thanks to each of you above. I've narrowed it down to KitchenAid or Cuisinart as far as brands are concerned; just deciding on models now.

I need to get one soon, we miss homemade hummus!

I don't know if you want to invest in a REALLY dependable one, but look into the BOSCH food processor. Depending on how many attachments you get it can run from I think$300 on up. But it can do EVERYTHING and I mean everything. From mixer to blender, to meat grinder, to wheat grinder, to....well everything. All the parts go in the dishwasher at my house without a problem. My mom had one I used all growing up, and after being on my own for many years I finally decided I could no longer live without it. My mom's is now in my sister in-laws hands, and is still chugging. It has to be at least 25-30 years old. I can still get all the parts and new gadgets I want to add, recently a juicer attachment, from the Bosch store in my area. You generally can't get this brand at the regular stores, you have to find a Bosch distributer. Trust me, it's an investment, and they last!!!!

Whenever someone asks about certain products, I recommend reading through the reviews at amazon.com. They are very detailed and unbiased reviews. I read them even if I'm not buying from their.

              Just thought I'd mention it.
