    20%

I'm in too. It just so happens to be the first of the year. Therefore, the first week I set aside 20% of my cash income. This Friday, the 9th, I plan on setting aside another 20%. I make cash and receive checks. I'm only putting cash aside for starters. God I'm so determined to do this!

LOL you can do this. Report here to keep you motivated. I'm doing more than trying this year. I'm succeeding and hopefully can do a little more.

            I'm in

I've already started a 52 week challenge but think I'll add the SA one to the mix. The funds for this can be used for my 2016 vacations

I'm so happy to join in! I was preparing to start it in 2016 but it will be very nice to have a thread/community support for it. My goal is to start at $52 and work backwards if possible, or as another poster said elsewhere, treat each deposit goal as the minimum and of course contribute more if I can.

This is also my first ever post here! I've been a lurker for a very long time and love the advice given here so I finally decided to come out of the shadow and join!

I'm totally keen to try this! I just used up my emergency fund to pay down a credit card. I figured it was sat there and when I got hit for $98 of interest last month it made sense to use the $930 I had saved to pay it off. Will have to work to get it back now!

How many are still doing this for 2016? I can't believe I never noticed this thread before.

I printed out the sheets and I'm starting this week.

                          I am!

I initially planned on starting it to put the money towards a decent purchase that could also be considered an investment. but Since I had to break into my emergency fund I am now using this challenge to help re-stock my emergency fund

There's a few of us that are actively doing it. I'm just starting my 2nd year and I met my goal last year.

I'm debating whether to give it a go or not. I'm currently living in Israel, and the currency isn't worth as much - 1 shekel is 27 cents according to Google

I'm thinking about doing it x5, so I'll save from 1x5=5 shekel to 52x5=260 shekel a week... will this complicate things unnecessarily? Also, I get paid once a month, so putting aside money once a week is a bit... impractical? I like the idea though!

Maybe I'll do it with months rather than weeks? I'd have to figure out a reasonable chart for myself... what do you think?
